SUMMARY:Back & Forth – Terrain Gallery Exhibition | Jen Erickson and Kate Lund
DESCRIPTION:Back & Forth brings together artists Jen Erickson and Kate Lund for a contemplative exhibition exploring memory\, connection to nature\, and personal narrative through abstraction and layered symbolism. \nThe show features oil painting\, watercolor\, and mixed media works that combine intricate renderings\, bold color washes\, and intentional mark-making. Both artists draw from lived experience and the natural world\, creating work that invites reflection and interpretation. \nJen Erickson works across oil painting\, watercolor\, and printmaking\, transforming abstract ideas rooted in science and personal history into tactile imagery. She holds a BFA from the University of Montana and an MFA from Central Washington University and currently serves as Professor of Art at North Idaho College and Director of the Corner Gallery. \nKate Lund\, originally from Challis\, Idaho\, holds a BFA from Central Washington University and an MFA from the University of Montana. Her practice centers on time spent outdoors\, collecting objects and documenting natural occurrences.
