Spokane Black Voices Symposium 2026

February 3 @ 7:00 pm
FREE Event:
Art as Activism. ✊🏾l✏️🤎🖤👏🏾🎥
Our youth are using poetry, visual art, and storytelling to speak truth, explore identity, and deepen their understanding of the world—and their place within it.
✨ Join us February 3 at 7:00 p.m. at the Montvale Event Center to experience their creativity, courage, and vision firsthand.
This showcase is the result of a partnership between The Black Lens, Northwest Passages, and The Links, Spokane Chapter, centered on Seasons & Cycles: Finding Your Destiny.
Our own Black Lens Board Co-Chair, Michael Bethely, will serve as the moderator, and the STEP team featuring youth from North Central High School and Rogers High School will perform, alongside other dynamic voices who will help bring the evening to life.
Come witness what happens when young voices are nurtured and heard.
This event is free, donations can be made at your discretion, which will go towards sustaining The Black Lens.
