Black History Month Celebration: Finding Community

Join the Black Student Union for a Black History Month celebration featuring a panel discussion titled Finding Community.
Three alumni, Lamar Webster, Quinton Baker, and Karen Whitman, will share their stories about building connection and belonging while attending Spokane Falls. The conversation will center lived experience, representation, leadership, and the power of community in shaping personal and academic journeys.
This event creates space for reflection, encouragement, and meaningful dialogue about what it means to be seen, supported, and rooted in community.
If you are on campus or in the area, come be part of the conversation.
Date: Wednesday, February 18
Time: 11:30 AM
Location: Spokane Falls Community College
Building 17, Room 134
Hosted by the Spokane Falls Community College Black Student Union
